Ive never caught a Muskie personally but we have hooked into a few nice pike. I had that happen to mine and freaked but it will come out, stop making that noise, and cast better but you really gotta get in there. The SLX XT is replacing the 2016 CASITAS. This is critical.

But there is another. the 2017 scorpion DC and the (not yet released) 2021 scorpion dc these 2 reels sit at ~$250 but must be purchased from Japan, so you lose your warranty, but reels made in japan are historically way better than those madd outside of japan for various reasons. They are okay but if youre proficient with a baitcaster its not necessary IMO and you can get a better reel for the same price.
